Round Rock Express
I interned as a Graphic Design Assistant at the Round Rock Express for the 2023 Baseball season. I honed my skills in creating dynamic digital content, including social media graphics, LED signage, in-game visuals, roadside displays, and web graphics. Additionally, I designed print materials such as business cards and flyers.
Wallpaper Wednesdays
Wallpaper Wednesdays involve the regular release of fresh wallpapers for electronic devices. Enthusiasts anticipate this weekly event as an opportunity to update their device backgrounds with captivating images or designs. While making the wallpapers, I aimed to find a middle ground, ensuring each design looked sleek and appealing, whether it followed the current branding or went in a different direction.
Interstitials
Throughout the season, I created various eye-catching interstitial ads that brought excitement to fans, ranging from giveaways to themed nights.
Social Graphics
I created social graphics that reached fans through video boards, roadside displays, and web/social platforms. Staying true to Round Rock Express' branding, I made sure to keep the consistency of the branding while capturing the spirit of themed nights and holidays, while enhancing the team's identity across various mediums.
Icons & Print
Throughout the season, I undertook a variety of design projects. I started by designing icons for Instagram covers and updating icons for the 'Know Before You Go' email, ensuring consistency across digital platforms. I also had the opportunity to create an in-house logo featured on the stadium marquee, contributing to a cohesive visual identity.
In addition to these digital initiatives, I designed cards for Round Rock Express camps and developed flyers as needed. This expanded my portfolio and demonstrated my ability to apply design skills across different mediums effectively.
